Do psychiatrists experiment on their clairvoyant patients?
If a patient is clairvoyant and the psychiatrist figures this out, would he or she experiment various untested drug regimens with the patient?

Clairvoyance is not a psychological disorder. Although some psychiatrist might believe (or determine after appropriate clinical diagnoses) that a patient’s belief in clairvoyance is a symptom of a psychological disorder. In that case a drug regime to treat the psychological disorder that was diagnosed is appropriate. An untested drug would not be on the market and using a medication for other than it’s stated purpose is unethical. There is some research for instance that suggest that anti-convulsant medications might help with bi-polar disorder but a psychiatrist should discuss this research with his/her patient before simply prescribing it since the medication was not developed for (or went through FDA trials for) treating bi-polar disorder.

No, there are no drugs for being clairvoyant. That’s because no one is clairvoyant. If a psychiatrist found someone who was, they’d prove it and win the Nobel Prize. Chances are good the person simply thinks they are clairvoyant and actually has a mental disorder causing them to have delusions. That can be treated, but psychiatrists are not research scientists – they don’t come up with new drugs on their own. The patient would have to consent to being in a drug trial.

There is no such thing as clairvoyance. People who believe that they have such an ability are typically suffering from some form of mental illness.
